Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe, and orders are sold through Link, Stripe's merchant-of-record service, which also handles sales tax. Your card details, name, email and billing address go to Stripe and Link, not to us, and we can see your name, email and payment status in our Stripe account. What our server stores

• the Stripe checkout and payment IDs, the amount, and the purchase date;
• a random buyer ID and activation code that we generate for your copy;
• a one-way hash of your email address, so we can match a "resend my download link" request. We don't store the address itself;
• after first launch, a fingerprint of your Steam account ID (a one-way SHA-256 hash) and the activation time.

Your Steam account ID itself is not sent to us, only the fingerprint, and we never see your Steam name, password or library. We use this data only to deliver your download, keep your copy locked to your Steam account, and handle refunds and support.

Emails

After you buy, and when you ask for your link again, we email your download link to the address you paid with. These emails are sent through Resend, which processes your email address to deliver them. We don't send marketing emails.

Hosting and logs

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request logs to operate and protect the service. We set no cookies and use no analytics or ads. Stripe Checkout sets its own cookies on Stripe's pages.

The mod itself

Apart from the one-time activation and a version check at most once a day (which sends nothing about you), MXB Evolved sends nothing over the network.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep purchase records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting, up to 7 years. To ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted, email us. Deleting it means your copy can no longer be re-activated.
